About the role

We are seeking a full-time cleaner-porter, on a fixed term contract to cover maternity, to join our friendly, supportive, and professional Campus Services team.

No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of our campus by undertaking a range of cleaning and portering duties, including:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas
  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins
  • Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries
  • Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities
  • Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies
  • Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors

We welcome applications from candidates interested in flexible working arrangements where operationally possible. The typical working pattern is 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5:00am–12.48pm, with some weekend working on alternate weeks. This role is offered on a fixed-term, full-time basis, 36.5 hours per week, with an expected end date of August 2027.
