How you'll make a difference:
As an Administrator within Adult Social Care, you will provide essential administrative and financial support that helps our teams deliver the best possible outcomes for vulnerable adults across South Gloucestershire. Through your organisation, accuracy and attention to detail, you will play a key role in ensuring services run smoothly and efficiently.
What you will be doing:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to Adult Social Care managers and teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services. Working in a busy environment, you will coordinate a range of administrative processes, ensuring work is completed accurately and to a high standard.
- It will be your responsibility to arrange and support meetings, prepare agendas, coordinate attendance and distribute relevant documentation. You will also be responsible for taking accurate minutes at confidential and sensitive meetings, producing clear and professional records within agreed timescales.

Using your organisational skills and attention to detail, you will support a range of financial processes, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. You will also maintain and update case management and financial systems, ensuring information is recorded correctly and reports are produced as required.

You will act as a point of contact for colleagues, partners and customers, responding to enquiries, providing advice on processes and escalating more complex issues where appropriate. Through your proactive approach and commitment to excellent customer service, you will help ensure the team delivers an effective and responsive service.
What we need from you:
- We require you to hold either three GCSE's (grade 4 or above) or an equivalent qualification, or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in an administration environment.
- You will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate minutes, correspondence and reports to a high standard. Confident using Microsoft Office and computerised record systems, you will ensure information is maintained accurately and effectively.
- Working in a busy environment, you will be able to manage competing priorities, organise your workload effectively and use your own initiative to meet deadlines.
- It is essential that you have strong communication skills, enabling you to build positive working relationships and provide a professional and responsive administration service.
What you need to know:
- This is a limited term contract due to end 31st March 2027.
- This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office and at home.
Interviews will be held on 15th October 2026.
