Senior Sous Chef

SENIOR SOUS CHEF WANTED – SANREMO, BATH

Up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience | Full-Time

Sanremo, an Italian restaurant in the heart of Bath, is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.

We’re looking for a talented chef with strong leadership skills, a passion for Italian cuisine and the ability to deliver consistently high standards in a busy restaurant environment.

THE ROLE

• Work closely with the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy services
• Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
• Maintain excellent standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
• Support the preparation and delivery of our Italian menu
• Assist with menu development and seasonal dishes
• Manage ordering, stock control, food costs and waste
• Support training and development of the kitchen team
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations throughout service

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous Senior Sous Chef experience or a strong Sous Chef ready to progress
• Experience with Italian cuisine is highly desirable
• Strong culinary and kitchen management skills
• Confident leadership and excellent communication
• Good understanding of food costs and stock management
• Ability to perform calmly and efficiently during busy services
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation
• Professional, reliable and hands-on approach
