Job Requirements/Description
Are you an experienced Registered Midwife with an interest Fetal Medicine.

If so, we have a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Fetal Medicine Operational Network as the Regional Lead Midwife .

The post holder will be the strategic and midwifery lead for the regional Operational Network (ODN) - specialising in Fetal Medicine .

Through strong leadership and effective management, the Lead Midwife for the FMU ODN will promote and deliver excellence while maintaining and continually improving clinical standards.

The clinical networks bring stakeholders together – providers, commissioners and patients – to create an alignment around programmes of transformational work that will improve care for those families needing to access Fetal Medicine Units.

Th post holder will support the FM ODN to provide the clinical expertise and leadership to drive commissioning decision-making, measure and benchmark quality and outcomes, and share best practice and innovation. In this way, the networks:

Improve quality outcomes.
Advance the delivery of services
Reduce unacceptable variations in care
Act as champions for patients and their interests and involve the public and patients in policy-development and decision-making.
