The Role

DHI are looking for a Finance Officer to provide accurate, timely and reliable finance administration across DHI and HTL. This varied role sits at the heart of our day-to-day finance work, supporting the purchase and sales ledgers, processing purchase orders, supplier invoices and payments, maintaining accurate banking records, raising routine sales invoices and responding to finance queries from colleagues and suppliers.

You will help keep our financial processes running smoothly by preparing payment runs, posting receipts and payments, reconciling corporate cards, monitoring shared finance inboxes and maintaining clear records and audit trails. You will be confident working within agreed procedures and financial controls, with the organisation and attention to detail needed to manage a varied workload and meet regular deadlines.

The role also provides trained operational cover for payroll and related HR contractual inputs, so an interest in payroll processes and the link between HR records and payroll would be helpful. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, HR, HTL and operational services, contributing to cross-cover arrangements, sharing knowledge and helping us improve the accuracy and efficiency of our finance administration.

This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in the office and opportunities to work from home for part of the working week, subject to management approval. The role is based at St James Parade, Bath, and may involve working at any other location required by DHI.
