Roofing Labourer / Assistant

£27,223 per annum + benefits | Bath | Full Time

Permanent | 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, Monday to Friday)

A sound roof keeps a home safe, dry and comfortable. As a Roofing Labourer / Assistant at Curo, you'll help make that happen for our customers.

You'll join our roofing works team, working alongside skilled multi-trade colleagues on repairs to roofs and gutters across our homes. It's outdoor work all year round, so you'll need to be happy working in all weathers.

You don't need roofing experience. If you've done labouring or general maintenance work before, you'll learn a lot on the job.

What you’ll be doing

• Helping skilled colleagues carry out a range of repairs to roofs and gutters

• Checking each job for risks before you start and working safely throughout

• Following our safety procedures, including our asbestos procedure

• Keeping the van stocked and recording the materials you use

• Looking after tools, equipment and vehicles

• Being polite and helpful with customers when you're working at their homes

You're practical, reliable and happy to muck in as part of a team. You're friendly with customers and keen to learn from the people around you. Whether you've worked in labouring, general maintenance, clearance or cleaning, we'd like to hear from you.

Essential:

• Experience of labouring, general maintenance, clearance or cleaning work

• Experience of dealing with customers or the public

• Comfortable with everyday reading, writing and numbers

• Comfortable using a phone or tablet to record your work

• Organised, punctual and able to work well in a team

• Full UK driving licence
