Job Requirements/Description
The Learning and Communities Officer will help bring AmplifyChange's community of Grantee Partners together, creating opportunities for organisations and activists working on sexual and reproductive health and rights to connect, share their expertise and learn from one another.

You'll play a hands-on role in shaping and delivering AmplifyChange's learning and community offer. From building an active online community and hosting engaging digital learning sessions to supporting in-country convenings and developing accessible learning resources, you'll help create spaces where Grantee Partners can exchange ideas, build relationships and share what works.

You'll have the opportunity to connect with a diverse network of Grantee Partners, facilitators and technical experts across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, helping people share their knowledge and learn from one another. You'll also work closely with colleagues across AmplifyChange to bring partner experience and learning into the organisation through Grantee Partner showcases, case studies, impact briefs and other engaging content.

This is a varied and creative role for someone who enjoys bringing people together and turning ideas and experience into engaging learning opportunities. You'll have the chance to experiment with different approaches to digital learning and community engagement, including the responsible use of AI-enabled tools, while helping us continually improve how we connect with and learn alongside our Grantee Partners.

AmplifyChange is a bilingual fund working in English and French, so professional-level written French and confidence speaking French are essential for this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning and Community Engagement

Create opportunities for Grantee Partners to connect, share their expertise and learn from one another, building an active and welcoming community across AmplifyChange's network.
  • Develop and coordinate an annual learning and ommunity engagement plan in collaboration with AmplifyChange colleagues and partners, ensuring activities align with organisational priorities and Grantee Partner needs.
  • Build an active and welcoming online community on Circle, creating opportunities for peer learning, collaboration, knowledge sharing and sustained engagement.
  • Work with the Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Grant Managers and other colleagues to ensure learning activities are shaped by Grantee Partner priorities, experience and expertise.
  • Coordinate Grantee Partner showcases and internal learning sessions that strengthen staff understanding of the grant portfolio and partner organisations.
Learning Events and Programmes

Bring learning to life through engaging, inclusive and well-run online, in-person and hybrid experiences that enable Grantee Partners to connect, participate and learn together.
  • Plan, coordinate, host and deliver high-quality online, in-person, and hybrid learning events, programmes, workshops dialogues and convenings.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, registration, speaker and facilitator liaison, accessibility, technology, and participant communications.
  • Support the delivery of multi-day dialogues and convenings by managing behind-the-scenes operations, technical delivery, and participant support to create a positive and inclusive experience.
  • Support the development of longer participatory learning programmes and, over time , their transformation into accessible digital learning courses
  • Facilitate and host learning activities using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, livestreaming and other digital engagement platforms.
  • Anticipate and manage? risks, contingencies and changing requirements to ensure effective and inclusive delivery
Communications, Content and Knowledge Management

Turn learning and partner experience into engaging, accessible content and resources that can be shared across AmplifyChange and its community.
  • Work closely with the Communications team to promote learning activities and maintain consistent branding and messaging across learning and community channels.
  • Coordinate the development of promotional materials, case studies, impact briefs and other learning resources, working with external designers and suppliers where required.
  • Coordinate event reports, notes, recordings, and other learning outputs, ensuring they are accurate, accessible, appropriately edited and shared.
  • Manage communications with Grantee Partners and other audiences through CRM systems including Constant Contact, Circle, and other digital channels.
  • Use AI assisted tools appropriately to support drafting, translation and content repurposing, ensuring outputs are reviewed for accuracy, inclusivity, and quality.
  • Contribute to the development of AmplifyChange's Learn and other digital learning resources.
  • Work with colleagues, Grantee Partners facilitators, technical experts and external providers to develop high-quality learning materials, case studies, and knowledge products rooted in partner experience and evidence.
  • Capture, organise and share learning from events, programmes and community activities to support organisational learning and knowledge management.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Use feedback, evidence and reflection to understand what's working and continually improve the learning and community experience for Grantee Partners.
  • Work closely with the Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to collect, analyse, and report on participant feedback and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor participant experience and engagement across learning events, programmes and digital platforms, identifying opportunities to strengthen participation and engagement.
  • Lead reflection and continuous improvement activities. ensuring learning from evaluations and community engagement to shape future events, programmes and resources
Safeguarding, Data Protection and Security

Help create safe, inclusive and accessible learning and community spaces, ensuring activities are delivered in line with AmplifyChange's safeguarding, data protection and information security requirements.
  • Ensure all learning and community activities comply with GDPR and AmplifyChange's data protection policies, working with the Operations team and Data Protection advisers as required.
  • Maintain secure digital filing systems and follow organisational information security procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of appropriate safeguarding, vetting, and event security measures to create safe and inclusive learning environments where required.

You'll be confident building relationships across cultures and communities, comfortable using digital tools and able to manage multiple activities while keeping people and their experience at the heart of your work.

You'll bring strong communication skills, curiosity and a proactive approach, with an interest in finding new ways for people to connect, share knowledge and learn from one another.

Essential
  • A commitment to AmplifyChange's vision, mission and values, including support for sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, LGBTQI+ rights and diverse and inclusive social movements.
  • Professional-level written French and confidence speaking French, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience of coordinating and delivering engaging learning activities, events or programmes across online, in-person and/or hybrid formats.
  • Experience of building and supporting engagement within online communities or networks.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities involving a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and sensitively with people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds.
  • Confident using digital collaboration and engagement platforms, with the ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to engage different audiences and support inclusive participation.
  • Ability to develop clear, engaging and accessible content and learning materials for different audiences.
