Job Title: C# .NET Software Developer.
Location: Commutable from locations across South Wales: Cardiff, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Bridgend or Swansea.
Salary: c.£18-25,000 per annum, negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are currently working alongside an exceptional company based here in South Wales, assisting with their new search for a C# .NET Software Developer to further expand their growing development team and organisation during a sustained period of continued growth and success. Within this exciting new position being offered within the team, you will be responsible for various development activities using both C# and ASP.NET. We're ideally searching for someone with some level of commercial experience within a Software/Application Development environment.
Amongst the daily tasks and responsibilities required of the successful candidate will be coding applications, testing(your own and others') code and supporting existing applications. The successful applicant will be working on the full development lifecycle and therefore any commercial experience of working through all stages of a development project would be highly beneficial. Within the development cycle, you will have responsibility for tasks such as requirements gathering, development/programming, testing, delivery and support.
We anticipate that the successful applicant for this new role might hold the following skills, experience and knowledge:
*good development experience within a commercial environment with C# and ASP.NET, as well as some practical experience of HTML/XHTML.
*ideally have exposure to SQL Server, T-SQL, Web Services, .NET 3.5, Visual Studio, XML and CSS.
*any experience or exposure to the following technologies would also prove highly beneficial: MVC, DDD, WCF, Visual SVN, SourceSafe, NHibernate or NUnit.
*ability to work well in small teams as well as on your own initiative.
*good administration and organisational skills.
*excellent communication skills and the ability to think through a problem coupled with the confidence to make your ideas heard.
